A cable from the router to the TV is the single biggest upgrade for 4K IPTV on a smart TV.
Turning the TV off with the remote often only puts it to sleep. Unplug it for 30 seconds once a week.

Once your IPTV for smart TV is running, a few picture and sound settings make sport, films and box sets look and sound their best.
Picture mode. Choose Standard or Movie (sometimes called Cinema or Filmmaker Mode) for films and series. Vivid mode looks bright in a shop but crushes detail at home. For live sport, Standard or a Sport mode keeps colours punchy without over-sharpening.
Motion settings. Samsung calls it Auto Motion Plus, LG calls it TruMotion. A low or medium setting helps fast football and hurling look smooth; turn it off for films if you see the "soap opera" effect.
4K and HDR. Our 4K channels and films send HDR where available. Make sure HDR or HDMI UHD Colour is switched on for the input you use, and that your connection gives about 25 Mbps for 4K.
Sound. If you use a soundbar, set the TV audio output to the soundbar or HDMI ARC/eARC. Leave the player app on automatic audio so stereo and surround tracks pass through correctly.
Network. In the TV network settings, use a wired connection where possible. On Wi-Fi, connect to the 5 GHz network rather than 2.4 GHz for a faster, steadier IPTV smart TV Ireland stream.
Start-up. Many Samsung and LG TVs let you open an app automatically at power on, or pin it to the first position on the home bar, so your IPTV app is always one click away.

Smart TVs often have weaker Wi-Fi than a modern streaming stick. Use an Ethernet cable if you can, restart the TV fully by unplugging it for 30 seconds, and keep the TV and app updated. If your internet provider blocks streaming, the built-in VPN may sometimes not work, and that block is outside our control.
